found this web site http://www.gilt.com/sale which has discounted(60%,70%) brand clothes accessible only with invitation from a previous member.(If you give me your email I can invite you) So my question is do you guys know any other similar websites?
The web site changes its brands every couple of days or so and the items are sold fast.!Usually there are 3-4 brands at one time! So anyone knows a similar website?

100 guests are invited. I forgot looking for a place to stay and getting married!
I would skip it. Many times people do not take them and probably won’t miss them! Spend the money on something else to make your reception even more enjoyable for your guests!!

We are making our own wedding invitations, but we have no idea what to write on them. I want them to sound formal.
Our names are Jessica brown and Jake Tanner
This is what we did because my parents are divorced, so are his, and he has step parents too. Plus we’re paying for everything and hosting it.

Joining AARP for discounts alone , no brainer?

My parents got an invitation to join AARP
I know they’re the biggest political membership group in US.
The fee is $40 for 5 years, plus a little free gift. I think it sounds like a no brainer considering there’s no way you can’t cash in on $40 in simply one discount, right?
Are discounts enough to justify paying $40 for 5 years? Please advise!
Good answers, but lets put politics aside, do the benefits and discounts from a personal money perspective make it worth it?
My hubby and I chose not to join because we are not in alignment with the political dealings that the organization does.
Is it horrible to purchase things off the cheap end of a registry if you’re not invited to the wedding????

If I’m invited to a wedding I normally spend at least $150 on a gift for the couple but this couple did not invite me to their wedding (which I understand it’s a family only thing) however I am still good friends with the groom so I felt the need to get them a gift anyway…is it horrible me for me to only spend about $50 since I will not celebrating with them on their wedding day?
It’s not cheap at all.
You weren’t invited to the wedding, so it’s good of you to buy a gift in the first place. Of course I understand if they’re good friends of yours, then you’ll want to get them SOMETHING. Buy something you can afford, depending on how good a friend they are to you.
In the UK those who are not invited are not even TOLD about the registries, because that implies the couple expect them to get them a gift. No invitation; no gift basically.

Where can I find a cheap village hall for my wedding ?

Im getting married next year, and havent found a venue yet for the reception even though its been 3 weeks now.
Really want a village hall as they have character, I can decorate and they are quite cheap and so wont break the bank.
We’re inviting 120 people for a sit down meal, and would also prefer space for dancing as well
I know im asking for much, but surely there must be some village halls around.

I don’t know the areas, but I did a google and posted two links for Essex and two for Herts below for you. There were more, but I just selected a couple as not sure what areas you wanted.
Parish halls are often a really cheap way, yet beautiful way of having a reception so I think it’s a great idea.
All I would say (as someone looking for a wedding venue) is to visit a few (like I said, there were loads of results on google for village halls). When there, check out the following:
The kitchen – do they charge for catering or do they allow outside caterers to come in. Is the kitchen well equipped. Also, ask your caterer if they are happy to work there etc.
Check the toilets – sounds silly but a nice clean toilet will be something the guests will appreciate. It amazed me how many of our venues were shocked when we looked at the toilets!
Is there ample parking? Also, are there any hotels or BnBs nearbyfor guests who want to stay over?
Also, check the location to make sure it’s not somewhere local gangs of kids hang out.
