I was thinking of painting the invite on a wooden heart cutout and then making it into a magnet. Then it’s kind of a favor and invite all in one…..anyway, any creative ideas are appreciated… my budget also isn’t huge so cost effective ideas are great!

That sounds interesting. I like it. Another option that is similar is to make the invitation into a coaster – that way its a useful favour that lasts…They are pretty cheap to make. You can even lacquer over a photo that is glued to a coaster back if you want – I have done this and they last well. So maybe you could have a photo of you and the groom with the invitation written over the top, then lacquered?

I am having a rather large wedding January first…and wedding invites are $$. I am needing REALLY REALLY cheap invites please please help!
hmmm.. well here’s what im doing for my upcoming wedding, and i have a tight budget as well. just buy the card stock, and print the invites yourself. you can download free calligraphy atdesignbetty.com or other websites and just use ur MS word. the card stock has some sample papers that u can test on before you do the actual printing. then maybe if u wanna add a bow of ur motiff color or instead of black ink u can use the color ur using for ur flowers…

If silk boxes sound too expensive, you can also try cheaper paper boxes to pack your wedding invites into. But remember, using boxes instead of envelopes will cost you more in terms of shipping costs, and be careful when choosing your silk or paper box… the bigger the package, the more expensive it will be to ship. This is a really classy idea that will make your invitations memorable, but it’s not the cheapest option, so it’s probably better suited for you only if you’re having a smaller wedding… or if you have money to burn.
