Cheap Wedding Invites…?

February 13, 2010

I am looking for cheap invitations that I don’t have to print at home as I don’t have the ability. Maybe something printed already but needs to be assembled. I am looking for under $50 for invitations, but a little more will be acceptable. The cheaper, the better. Anyone have any ideas?
Well I found some plain ones for 100 for under $50 but my fiance didn’t like them. I need 75 invitations, but I want to find some that we both like…
I don’t have time to really do much DIY. I’m finishing culinary school and working right now, so a lot of people are already doing things for me so I have time to study. I just can’t ask anyone else to take something on, and I don’t have the time to do it myself.
E-mails won’t work either, they’ll forget about them. I don’t want that to happen.

  2. How many invitations are you looking to buy?
    Under $50 for how many?

EDIT: I suggest that you search on Ebay. There are many sellers who will do invitations. However, it is going to be very hard to find 75 invites for $50 (including envelopes, reception card, RSVP card and envelope.)

Your best bet is to buy one of the kits. You will need 2 kits (50 in each kit with all the extras), and those run about $25-$30 each.

Keep surfing the net and Ebay to see what you can find.

Why don’t you have any time? I thought you moved your wedding to 2010?

  4. well… you can do what I did and they turned out absolutely gorgeous. I bought the DIY invite kit at Target, then bought some velum and had it printed on it at Staples. I attached the velum to the invitation that you’re supposed to print right onto, then tied it together at the top with ribbon and a little silver heart accent dangling down.

They were the prettiest invites I’ve seen and cost about $1.25 each… oh plus I had upgraded envelopes, that’s including that.

  5. If you have the e-mails of the people you are inviting then you could send an e-card for free. Try a google search to find some places on line that send them.

  8. I’m actually buying mine from a store from ebay. The package includes invitations, envelopes, reception cards, reply cards, and thank you cards. I’m getting 150 of those sets for $150. AND they have a huge selection of designs to choose from. Definitely worth checking out. :)

This is an example of the snowflake invitations that I’m getting. You can see their picture choices on this page as well. I also think they do programs also. Hope this helps!!

  10. Do you live in a small town or near one? Check with your local newspaper. Many newspapers print invites for a very low price, and they are very nice too. A friend of mine just had hers printed by a local paper for less than what the stationary shop charger for only envlopes
