Where online can I order discounted wedding invitations?

November 21, 2009

Help! I am on a tight budget. Right now, my guest list is 150. I *hoping* to spend under $150 for the invites. Any advice/links/suggestions are greatly appreciated! Thanks.

I had found print your own invitations at Michaels Craft Store 50 invitations for $30 by Wilton. They were perfect and went with our theme (double hearts). I was shopping at Wal-Mart for something in the craft department and saw ones that were just slightly different and they were 40 invites for $15. So I got the ones from Wal-Mart and returned the ones from Michaels. They came with the invitations and response cards along with the envelopes. They have instructions on the back and come with test sheets, they really are fool proof and look amazing. No one knew they weren’t professionally done. If you don’t have a Wal-Mart near you or they don’t them there, you can go to www.wilton.com and order them there, and they have all sorts of different styles online than they do in the stores.

  2. DIY, get them in Staples or stationary store and print it on home computer, and you could add glass crystals and stuff and it will cost you a lot less then ordering them from a store.

  3. I absolutely love vistaprint.com they are amazing and always have specials going on. I got my engagement announcement cards from them and I just love how they turned out. Best part is they are not that expensive.

  4. eBay has got some great affordable ones, have a look:

Usually when you buy the invite they come with the printing for free and sometimes a place card and RSVP card too for either free or very cheap. They are worth looking into anyway.

  6. I never understood why all invites have to match. No one ever brings them with them and flashes the invites around.

If you need to lower your cost ..Do 1/2 on design and 1/2 the other.. and frame the one you like the best.

Hallmark has some great "print in house" cards. You go in and type your name into the computer and info and they print while you wait.

  7. I have heard good things about vistaprint! i also think ann’s bridal bargains is a great place to look…i was just abou ready to get some from there that were very beautiful…$115 for 100 people but then I went to party city…believe it or not i got them for $60 they are the kind you have to print yourself but the front is a foggy paper and behind is a place that you can put your picture in..they are adorable. They were also having a sale so I got my unity candle there and i got a box with a flower girl basket, pen, guestbook, pen holder, and garter for $10!!!! it was normally $50 but they were just getting in new wedding things so everything was on sale!

    Hope this helps!

  8. I can get you 150 traditional white invitations and response cards with a colored ink for $154, but that doesn’t include shipping (around $15) or applicable tax (dependent on where you live).

If you don’t need response cards, traditional white invitations are about $100 (not including tax or shipping).

  9. I have the same problem and i found a website with some awsome prices. I have looked at a lot of different places and so far this is the least expensive of all that i have seen. Plus they will send you free samples of invitations. I highly recommend getting them because i thought i liked an invitation and then i got a sample and i hated it!
