is it ok to send out wedding invites to close friends and family then a 2nd group of invites to the recpt 2?

we only have space for 45 wedding guest then an extra 45 to the recpt. is it ok to just send out invites to the recpt after the wedding is over? we want to celebrate with everyone, but the wedding hall is small but the recpt is out doors. so we have alot more space.. or we being rude or will they understand ??
No you are not being rude you have to do what you got to do. If they are people who cares about you they shouldn’t care about it they will be happy to at least be part of your wedding.

Maybe you could inquire about moving the ceremony outdoors.

You can do a private ceremony and a large reception, that has been done before
